Start the reunion off right with a day devoted to remembering, recording, and reconnecting with our Malan heritage. Whether you’re 9 or 90, there’s something powerful and personal you can do to contribute to our family’s story.
Choose one—or more—of the following activities, or come up with your own:
📖 Read the journal or life story of a deceased family member
✍️ Write down or record a story from your own youth to share with others
🌳 Build or update your family tree on FamilySearch or another platform
🖼️ Scan and save family photos to share with cousins or upload online
🎤 Interview a parent or grandparent and save the audio or video
📚 Create a timeline or family history scrapbook page with dates and events
💌 Reach out to a cousin or relative you haven’t talked to in years—share a memory!
This is a day to reflect, preserve, and pass it forward.
We invite everyone—regardless of religious background—to take part in whatever way fits your style, age, or experience. Family history is for everyone!
